How long will I wait for a technician?
Inside Al Nahda the usual wait is 15 to 25 minutes, because the vans are parked in the district. Al Qusais, Al Twar, Al Mamzar and the Sharjah side of the border normally take 15 to 35 minutes, at any hour.
Can you fit a car battery at night in Al Nahda?

What should I send to book a battery replacement?
The make, model and year of the car, and where it is: a location pin, or the building name with the parking level and bay number. If you can reach it, a photo of the label on the old battery helps us load the right one.

Is a mobile battery replacement more expensive than going to a shop?

Do you charge more on the Sharjah side of the border?
No. One price list applies across our whole area, and crossing the emirate border adds nothing.
Which payment methods do you take?
Cash, any bank card, Apple Pay, or four instalments through Tabby or Tamara. Nothing is paid until the new battery is in and the engine has started.

Do you test the battery before replacing it?
Always. Every visit starts with a test of the battery, the alternator and the starter draw, and you are shown the readings. A battery is only replaced if it has failed.

Which battery does a start-stop car need?
An AGM or EFB battery, as the manufacturer specifies. A conventional flooded battery fitted in its place wears out within months and stops the start-stop system working.

No. A memory keeper is connected while the old battery is out, so the radio, clock and window settings are still there when the new one goes in.
Warranty and the old battery
Is there a warranty on the car battery?
Yes. Up to 24 months, depending on the battery. The exact term is printed on your invoice.
How do I use the warranty?
Send the invoice number on WhatsApp. If the battery has failed inside its warranty period, a technician returns to your car and swaps it without charge.
How long will the new battery last?
Two to three years is typical in the UAE. Heat under the bonnet ages a battery far faster than in a mild climate, and short trips with the AC on never fully recharge it.

It leaves with the technician and goes to a licensed recycler. You are not charged for that, and you do not have to arrange anything.
Why can an old car battery not go in the bin?
It contains lead and acid and is classed as hazardous waste. In Dubai the transport and recycling of used lead-acid batteries is regulated by Dubai Municipality. Nearly all of a battery can be recovered when it goes to a licensed recycler.
Basements, access and company vehicles
My car is three levels underground. Is that a problem?
No. Basement and podium jobs are the bulk of our work. Tell us the tower name, the level and the bay number, and the technician brings a portable jump pack and tester down to the car.
Do I have to be with the car while the battery is changed?
Not necessarily. If the car is unlocked or the key is left with someone you trust, we fit the battery, send photos and the test readings on WhatsApp, and take payment through a link.
Can you look after company vehicles?
Yes. Delivery fleets, taxis, school buses and rental companies get priority dispatch, one monthly invoice and a record of every battery by plate number.
